【摘要】:Resultsofthistypeoftestmethodareusedtopredictdisplacementsinrockmasscausedbyloadsfromastructureorfromundergroundconstruction.Itisoneofseveralteststhatshouldbeperformed.Theresultinginsitumodulusiscommonlylessthantheelasticmodulusdeterminedinthelaboratory.Themodulusisdeterminedusinganelasticsolutionforauniformlydistributedload(uniformstress)overacircularareaactingonasemi-infiniteelasticmedium.Thistestmethodisnormallyperformedatambienttemperature,butequipmentcanbemodifiedorsubstitutedforoperationsatothertemperatures.Note18212;Thequalityoftheresultproducedbythisstandardisdependentonthecompetenceofthepersonnelperformingit,andthesuitabilityoftheequipmentandfacilitiesused.AgenciesthatmeetthecriteriaofPracticeD3740aregenerallyconsideredcapableofcompetentandobjectivetesting/sampling/inspection,etc.UsersofthisstandardarecautionedthatcompliancewithPracticeD3740doesnotinitselfassurereliableresults.Reliableresultsdependonmanyfactors;PracticeD3740providesameansofevaluatingsomeofthosefactors.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthepreparation,equipment,testprocedure,anddatareductionfordetermininginsitumodulusofdeformationofarockmassusingtheflexibleplateloadingmethod.1.2Thistestmethodisdesignedtobeconductedinanaditorsmallundergroundchamber;however,withsuitablemodificationsitcouldbeconductedatthesurface.1.3Thistestmethodisusuallyconductedparallelorperpendiculartotheanticipatedaxisofthrust,asdictatedbythedesignload.1.4Time-dependenttestsnotcoveredbythisstandardcanbeperformedbutaretobereportedinanotherstandard.1.5AllobservedandcalculatedvaluesshallconformtotheguidelinesforsignificantdigitsandroundingestablishedinPracticeD6026.1.5.1Themethodusedtospecifiyhowdataarecollected,calculated,orrecordedinthisstandardisnotdirectlyrelatedtotheaccuracytowhichthedatacanbeappliedindesignorotheruses,orboth.Howoneappliestheresultsobtainedusingthisstandardisbeyonditsscope.1.6Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.7Thereferencesappendedtothisstandardcontainfurtherinformationonthistestmethod.1.8Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificprecautionstatements,seeSection8.
