【摘要】:Resinsusedindemineralizationsystemsmaydeteriorateduetomanyfactorsincludingchemicalattack,foulingbyorganicandinorganicmaterials,mishandling,ortheeffectsofaging.Detectionofdegradationorfoulingmaybeimportantindeterminingthecauseofpoordemineralizerperformance.1.1Thisguidepresentsaseriesoftestsandevaluationsintendedtodetectfoulinganddegradationofparticulateionexchangematerials.Suggestionsonreducingfoulingandoncleaningresinsaregiven.1.2Thisguideistobeusedonlyasanaidintheevaluationofparticulateionexchangematerialperformanceanddoesnotpurporttoaddressallpossiblecausesofunsatisfactoryperformance.Theevaluationsofmechanicalandoperationalproblemsarenotaddressed.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
